Homoserine toxicity in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candida albicans homoserine kinase (thr1Delta) mutants

Joanne M. Kingsbury and John McCusker

Eukaryot Cell (2010) 9: 717-728

During their work on homoserine toxicity in S. cerevisiae and C. albicans Kingsbury and McCusker constructed two plasmids which will be useful in general for genetic manipulations of S. cerevisiae.

Plasmid pAG107 was constructed by replacing the kanMX6 cassette in pFA6-kanMX6-PGAL1 with an hphMX4 containing BglII/SpeI fragment from pAG32.

Plasmid pBN05 was constructed by replacing the URA3 ORF in pAG26 (CEN URA3 hphMX4) with NAT1.

Due to discrepancies found by restriction analysis plasmids pAG107 and pBN05 were partially re-sequenced.
