A new series of yeast shuttle vectors for the recovery and identification of multiple plasmids from Saccharomyces cerevisiae

LilyAnn Novak Frazer and Raymond T. O’Keefe

Yeast (2007) 24: 777-789

To facilitate the recovery and identification of multiple plasmids from S. cerevisiae, a series of plasmids based on the pRS series of yeast shuttle vectors has been constructed. Bacterial antibiotic resistance genes to chloramphenicol, kanamycin and zeocin have been combined with the yeast centromere sequence (CEN6), the autonomously replicating sequence (ARSH4) and one of the four yeast selectable marker genes (HIS3, TRP1, LEU2 or URA3) from the pRS series of vectors.
