Errors at work are frequently related to high costs and psychological stress. Based on the research project FAUST (Fehleranalyse zur Untersuchung von Software und Training; Error analysis for the investigation of software and training; Frese, & Zapf, 1991) in which an action theory based taxonomy of errors had been developed and empirically tested in the area of computer-based office work, successive research is being conducted. A replication study tested the error taxonomy's validity for newer object-oriented systems (Bernhardt). Additional studies investigated whether the error theories are applicable in the management field (Briel, Oezer).
